is a Senior Fellow within the MBS Institute for Innovation Research and a Visiting Professor in knowledge exchange at the University of the West of England (UWE). She was until May 2010 Director of the Whitehall Innovation Hub and before that Director of the Manchester Business School Change Centre. Previously, a social innovator she has extensive experience in local government, health, economic regeneration and public service innovation. Her research on the ‘Conditions for Collaboration’ pre New Labour provided the business model for the Manchester Business School, Change Centre. This model supported creative exchange between policy-makers, practitioners and HE, which she later adapted for the Whitehall Innovation Hub. She continues to work with innovative leaders interested in thinking and practices which support social and economic innovation.
